Your data

Delete your account

Most of it you can erase yourself, in the app, in two taps. The rest takes one email. Here is exactly what each route removes.

Read this first

Alignment creates an account for you on first launch, before you sign in to anything. Your answers, your progress and your scan scores are stored against it from the first session. Uninstalling the app does not delete any of that. Use one of the two routes below before you uninstall.

Step 1 — in the app

Profile → Delete account & reset data. This erases from our servers, and from your phone:

  • Your setup answers and goals
  • Your profile record, including your display name
  • Your streak, progress and completed-session history
  • Every posture and flexibility scan, and all the measurements behind them
  • The contents of your custom routines

Because it deletes the server copy, it applies to every device you use Alignment on — not just the one you tap it from. It works whether or not you ever signed in.

Step 2 — email us for the rest

Step 1 leaves behind your sign-in identity, your profile photo if you uploaded one, any support messages you have sent us, and your subscription record. To have those removed too, email us with the subject Delete my account. Replying from the address on your account is how we confirm it is you.

Email a deletion request

If you never signed in, there is no email address on your account — so do step 1 first, then write to us with the date you installed the app and we will find and remove what is left.

We complete deletion requests within 30 days, instruct every provider listed in the Privacy Policy to do the same, and email you to confirm when it is done.

What we have to keep

Records we are legally required to hold — principally proof of a purchase, for tax and accounting law, typically for six to seven years — and anonymous aggregate statistics that cannot be traced back to you. Nothing else.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because the billing relationship is with Apple or Google, not with us. Cancel it first — on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions — or you will keep being charged.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account, a streak or a scan history once it is gone. If you are not sure, sign out instead and come back later.
